DAY 1, Vilnius
Arrival to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Bus transfer to the hotel.
Dinner at a traditional Lithuanian restaurant in the Old Vilnius.
Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 2, Vilnius – Trakai

Morning City Tour, the 3-hour acquaintance with Vilnius Old Town.

Tour to Trakai, former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit to the picturesque Trakai Castle situated on an island in the midst of a lake.
Lunch at the restaurant with a breathtaking view to Trakai castle.
Transfer back to Vilnius.
Dinner at the medieval restaurant Medininkai with a folk show.

Overnight in Vilnius.

Day 3, Vilnius – Kaunas - Agricultural joint stock company - Milk Testing Enterprise - Vilnius

Departure to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania.
Visit to the one of the leading Agricultural joint stock company in Lithuania.
Lunch in Kaunas at the famous Lithuanian restaurant Berneliu uzeiga.
After the lunch visit to the State Enterprise for milk testing/quality control PIENO TYRIMAI.
Transfer back to Vilnius.
Overnight in hotel in Vilnius.

Day 4, Vilnius – Caw Farm - The Hill of Crosses – Deer Farm - Rundale Palace - Riga
Departure to Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Agricultural visit to the dairy farm, one of the best examples of dairy industry in Lithuania.

Stop at the famous Hill of Crosses, a unique historic place in the world boasting more than 100 000 crosses.
Lunch and visit of the deer farm Audruvis, rising about 700 noble dears.

Visit to the Rundale Palace (18th cent.), the most outstanding monument of Baroque and Rococo art in Latvia.
Dinner at a traditional Latvian restaurant in Riga Old Town. Overnight  in Riga.


Day 5, Riga
Morning Riga City Tour by bus and a walking tour.
Overnight inthe hotel in Riga.

Day 6, Riga – Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum - Parnu - Dairy Piistaoja - Tallinn
Departure to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
On the way you will visit thr Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, housing a large collection of traditional rural buildings.

A stop and lunch in Estonian summer resort Parnu.
On the way to Tallinn visit to the dairy Piistaoja with 1000 cows and more than 100-year long tradition in the dairy industry.
Dinner at the traditional Estonian restaurant in Tallinn Old Town. Overnight in Tallinn.

Day 7, Tallinn - Milk Farm
Morning City Tour.

Lunch in Tallinn.
Afternoon visit to a milk farm close to Tallinn, which produces several kinds of cheese (mascarpone, cottage cheese, etc.)
Farewell dinner at one of the best restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. Overnight in Tallinn.

Day 8, Tallinn
Transfer to the Tallinn airport.
Departure.

Day1

Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Bus transfer to the hotel.

Free time in Vilnius. After visiting Vilnius and its surroundings many tourists fall in love with Vilnius, designating it as their favorite Baltic city. Vilnius’s Old Town is one of the biggest in Eastern Europe. There are more than 1500 buildings from various epochs: the old town boasts the most wonderful architectural styles of Southern and Western Europe, Gothic and Renaissance, as well as the original “Lithuanian” Baroque, also called the last vivid flash of Baroque in Europe.

Day2

Vilnius – Trakai - Vilnius

Morning City Tour, the 3-hour acquaintance with Vilnius Old Town where you can soak in the atmosphere of the city's history of the 16-19th centuries, while walking along its narrow winding streets or visiting the most exiting architectural and historic monuments, such as Vilnius Cathedral erected on a historic site of pagan gods worship and where Vilnius was founded as far back as the 13th c., a nearby Gediminas Castle rising above the city centre, a gem of the Lithuanian Gothic style - the 16th c. St. Anne's Church, the Vilnius University, a famous centre of science and enlightenment since its very foundation in 1579, Vilnius Town Hall, Jewish Quarter and the Dawn Gate with a famous and miraculous icon of Virgin Mary.

Afternoon 4-hour-tour to Trakai (27 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and a favored place for sightseeing outside of Vilnius. The Trakai Castle, situated on an island in the midst of Lake Galve, is the most famous and most photographed 15th cent. castle.  Standing on an island in Lake Galve, the Castle now houses a museum focused on the history of the epoch of  the Grand Duke Vytautas when the country borders spanned from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. Enjoy Trakai, a small town located on a 2-km-long peninsula, and dotted with quaint old wooden houses, mostly built by Karaites, a Judaist sect brought by Duke Vytautas from the Crimea and still living in Trakai.

Lunch at the restaurant with a breathtaking view to Trakai castle.
Transfer back to Vilnius.

Dinner at the medieval restaurant Medininkai with a folk show (live music, traditional Lithuanian games, song lessons).
Overnight in Vilnius.

Day3

Vilnius – Kaunas - Agricultural joint stock company - Milk Testing Enterprise - Vilnius

Departure to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania.


Visit to the one of the leading Agricultural joint stock company in Lithuania with 2000 hectare of land and 1600 cows, and specializing in grain seed growing and pedigree cattle.

Lunch in Kaunas at the famous Lithuanian restaurant Berneliu uzeiga.

After the lunch visit to the State Enterprise for milk testing/quality control PIENO TYRIMAI.
Transfer back to Vilnius. Overnight in hotel in Vilnius.

Vilnius – Dairy Farm - The Hill of Crosses – Deer Farm - Rundale Palace - Riga

Departure to Riga, the capital of Latvia (291 km from Vilnius).

Agricultural visit to the dairy farm - one of the best examples of dairy industry in Lithuania. A farmer has established a modern dairy farm in North Lithuania (about 100 cows), where he is successfully applying Netherland’s traditions in milk farming.

Stop at the famous Hill of Crosses. The Hill of Crosses, a unique historic place. It is the best place to get acquainted with cross-making, a type of Lithuanian folk art that was placed on the UNESCO Non-material and Verbal Heritage Masterpiece List. There are more than 100,000 crosses on the hill, put up by individuals as a plea for grace or an expression of gratitude since the ancient times.  It is the only place of its kind in the world, and is included to the Guinness Book of Records because of its uniqueness.

Lunch and visit of the deer farm Audruvis, where famous Lithuanian hunter is rising about 700 noble dears as well as follow-dears, muflons and pheasants.

After crossing the border of Latvia, you will visit Rundale Palace (50km from Hill of Crosses), Rundale Palace (18th cent.) is the most outstanding monument of Baroque and Rococo art in Latvia. The palace is an example of the early work of Italian-Russian architect Rastrelli who also designed the famous Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. You will be stunned by the authentic beauty the Golden Hall, the White Hall, private quarters of the Duke of Courland Johan Ernst Biron. Interiors are decorated with authentic 18th century furniture, paintings and china. To get a full impression from the palace ground, enjoy a walk in a beautiful park designed in French style.

Riga

After the breakfast Riga City Tour by bus and a walking tour. Riga has numerous ways of enticing visitors through its rich history, architecture, spacious gardens and parks, museums, art galleries, world-class opera…and daily treats like a walk in the enormous and colorful central market or a visit to a cozy café, club or pub...


The tour includes the most significant landmarks of Riga and begins along its central boulevards. On the walk you will enjoy the view of the City Canal parks, the Art Nouveau buildings of the beginning of the 20th century, and the Opera House. In the Old Riga you will see the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble Three Brothers, St. Jacob's Church, the Parliament House, the Old Riga Castle, and view the many beautifully restored buildings now housing cozy restaurants, cafes, bars and souvenir shops.

Riga – Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum - Parnu - Dairy Piistaoja - Tallinn

Departure to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia (300 km from Riga).

On the way you will visit Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, one of the main exhibits of Latvia's cultural heritage, founded in 1924. Situated in a pine forest on the banks of Jugla Lake, the museum consists of about 90 traditional rural buildings dating back to the 17th century: historical dwellings, homesteads, a tavern and windmills have been gathered here from all over Latvia.

A stop and lunch in Estonian summer resort Parnu.
On the way to Tallinn visit to the dairy Piistaoja with 1000 cows and more than 100-year long tradition in the dairy industry.

Tallinn - Milk Farm

Morning City Tour takes you to the surroundings of Tallinn and its Old Town.
Unlike most European cities, which have old buildings mixed in between the modern ones, Tallinn's Old City is a charming in its unity of style. You leave the bustling modern life behind when you enter into the world of cobblestone streets and dim alleys, sputtering torches and secret stairways. The Old City holds new surprises around every corner, even for its old inhabitants.


City tour includes a visit of the Upper Town - Toompea (Cathedral Hill) with an impressive Russian Orthodox Church and the 13th century Gothic style Dome Cathedral. The Upper Town viewing points offer excellent bird's eye views of the Lower Town. The tour continues in the Lower Town. Among its highlights - the Gothic Town Hall (early 15th century), the pharmacy, opened in 1422 and still functioning, the Great Guild and Blackheads Fraternity Houses - both from the 15th century.
