DAY 1, Vilnius
Arrival to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Bus transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 2, Vilnius – Trakai  (30 km of cycling)
Morning City Tour, the 3-hour acquaintance with Vilnius Old Town.

Tour to Trakai, former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit to the picturesque Trakai Castle situated on an island in the midst of a lake.
Bicycling through the Trakai Region passing by Elektrenai where the most powerful thermal power station in Lithuania is located.
Transfer back to Vilnius. Overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 3, Vilnius – Dzukija National Park - Druskininkai (40 km of cycling)
Transfer by bus to Dzukija National Park.
Bicycling in the National Park, passing through pine forests and unique ancient villages.

Transfer to Druskininkai town, a famous recreation and SPA resort.
Overnight in Druskininkai.

DAY 4, Druskininkai - Grutas Park - Kaunas (30 km of cycling)
Exploring Druskininikai by bicycle. One can choose among 10 km, 13 km or 21 km circuit trails. Bicycling along Nemunas river through pinewoods to the Grutas Parkas, full of Soviet monuments that were brought here from all over Lithuania.
Departure to Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. Overnight in Kaunas.

DAY 5, Kaunas – Seaside region - Vente Horn - Klaipeda
(30 km of cycling)
Morning Kaunas Walking City Tour.
Departure to Klaipeda.
Cycling trip through Pamarys (Seaside) Region to Vente Horn via fishermen villages. In Vente Horn, you will visit the 19th cent. lighthouse and the Ornithological Station.
Overnight in Klaipeda.

DAY 6, Klaipeda - Curonian Spit – Klaipeda (55 km of cycling)
Departure to the Curonian Spit (5km by ferry + 50km from Klaipeda).
Bicycling through the Curonian Spit. You will pass by the Dead Dunes beyond Pervalka, enjoy a panoramic view of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon, will observe a colony of grey herons and complete your biking day in Juodkrantė, where you will visit the Hill of Witches.
Transfer back to Klaipeda. Overnight in Klaipėda.

DAY 7, Klaipeda – Seaside Regional Park - Palanga - The Hill of Crosses - Riga
(25 km of cycling)
Cycling from Klaipėda through Seaside Regional park to Palanga Resort along the Seaside Cycle Route. Here you will explore the Dutchman’s Cap cliff, as well as the fishermen’s village of Karkle. You will visit Palanga’s Botanical Park and the Amber Museum, cycle along the main avenue ending in a pier heading 470 meters into the Baltic Sea.
Departure from Palanga to Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Stop at the famous Hill of Crosses, a unique historic place in the world boasting more, than 100 000 crosses.
Overnight in Riga.

DAY 8, Riga

Morning Riga City Tour by bus and a walking tour.
Overnight in Riga.

DAY 9, Riga – Gauja National Park – Cesis (40 km of cycling)
Departure to Gauja National park, often referred to as the Latvian Switzerland. Visit to the 13th century Turaida Castle, now housing a History Museum.
Cycling along the Gauja River valleys, passing by the  Gutmana Cave and going further to Ragana with a stop in Krimulda to visit Latvia’s oldest church.

Transfer to Stalbe for the final ride of the day in Cesis, one of Latvia’s oldest and most beautiful Hanseatic towns.
Overnight in Cesis.

DAY 10, Cesis – Tartu
(47 km of cycling)
Morning visit of the medieval Cesis castle, the residence of the master of the Livonian Order.
Continue bicycling in the Gauja National park. On the way you will visit Rauna castle ruins of the 16th century, ancient Rauna Lutheran church (13 cent.), Meri manor and park and Livonian Order castle Kalnamuiza.
Departure to Tartu, second biggest town in Estonia. Overnight in Tartu.


DAY 11, Tartu – Peipsi Lake - Alatskivi castle - Kollaste -Lahemaa National Park 
(40 km of cycling)
Morning Tartu City Tour.
Departure from Tartu.
Cycling from town Koosa, Varnja village and Lake Peipsi. Visit a magnificent manor Alatskivi castle, orthodox churches of Russian Old Believers and Kallaste, a town known for its interesting architecture.
Departure to Lahemaa National Park. Orvernight in Lahemaa.


DAY 12, Lahemaa National Park
(30 km of cycling)

Cycling in the park taking the most developed cycling trails in Estonia.
Overnight in Lahemaa in one of the manor houses.

DAY 13, Lahema – Tallinn (40 km of cycling)
Biking tour in the Lahemaa National Park, where you will start with the Sagadi Manor and go to the Palmse Manor and then further to the Kasmu Peninsula.
Afternoon departure to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
Overnight in Tallinn.

DAY 14, Tallinn - Kadriorg Palace - Tallinn (15 km of cycling)
The original bicycle sightseeing tour "Welcome to Tallinn by bike”.

Visit of Kadriorg famous for its baroque palace and a park ensemble, built as the summer palace for the Russian tsar Peter.
Overnight in Tallinn.

DAY 15, Departure
Transfer to the Tallinn airport. Departure.

Day1

Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Bus transfer to the hotel.

Free time in Vilnius. After visiting Vilnius and its surroundings many tourists fall in love with Vilnius, designating it as their favorite Baltic city. Vilnius’s Old Town is one of the biggest in Eastern Europe. There are more than 1500 buildings from various epochs: the old town boasts the most wonderful architectural styles of Southern and Western Europe, Gothic and Renaissance, as well as the original “Lithuanian” Baroque, also called the last vivid flash of Baroque in Europe.

Day2

Vilnius – Trakai (30 km of cycling)

Morning City Tour, the 3-hour acquaintance with Vilnius Old Town where you can soak in the atmosphere of the city's history of the 16-19th centuries, while walking along its narrow winding streets or visiting the most exiting architectural and historic monuments, such as Vilnius Cathedral erected on a historic site of pagan gods worship and where Vilnius was founded as far back as the 13th c., a nearby Gediminas Castle rising above the city centre, a gem of the Lithuanian Gothic style - the 16th c. St. Anne's Church, the Vilnius University, a famous centre of science and enlightenment since its very foundation in 1579, Vilnius Town Hall, Jewish Quarter and the Dawn Gate with a famous and miraculous icon of Virgin Mary.

A pleasant tour to Trakai (27 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and a favored place for sightseeing outside of Vilnius. The Trakai Castle, situated on an island in the midst of Lake Galve, is the most famous and most photographed 15th cent. castle.  Standing on an island in Lake Galve, the Castle now houses a museum focused on the history of the epoch of  the Grand Duke Vytautas when the country borders spanned from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. Enjoy Trakai, a small town located on a 2-km-long peninsula, and dotted with quaint old wooden houses, mostly built by Karaites, a Judaist sect brought by Duke Vytautas from the Crimea and still living in Trakai.

Bicycling through the Trakai Region by a picturesque rolling road through the land of lakes and hills and passing by Elektrenai where the most powerful thermal power station in Lithuania is located.

Transfer back to Vilnius. Overnight in Vilnius.

Day3

Vilnius – Dzukija National Park - Druskininkai (40 km of cycling)

Transfer by bus to Dzukija National Park, the kingdom of ancient legends, stories, songs, pinewoods and mushrooms. It is situated in a pine forest of Dainava sandy plain. Dzukuja (the southern part of Lithuania) is known for its poor soil, but there are many clear rivers, streams and pine forests, which cover 85% of the park territory. In the park you can see several forest villages - some dating back to the 16th century –and various historical and cultural monuments.

Bicycling in the National Park, passing through unique ancient villages of Marcinkonys - Zervynos - Manciagire - Ziurai - Trakiskiai - Mardasavas - Puvociai – Kasetos and back to Marcinkonys.

Transfer to Druskininkai town, a famous recreation and SPA resort, known for its combinations of healing salt and mud treatments, healthy pine forest air and spa procedures.

Day4

Druskininkai - Grutas Park - Kaunas (30 km of cycling)

Exploring Druskininikai by bicycle. Druskininkai is known for a well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails in the surrounding pinewoods.  One can choose among 10 km, 13 km or 21 km circuit trails called the Orbit of Starsthen. 
Bicycling along Nemunas river through pinewoods to the Grutas Parkas (10 km from Druskininkai). In the shadows of pines, typical of Lithuanian forests, there is a park full of Soviet monuments that were dismantled in 1989 and brought here from cities and towns all over Lithuania. Grūtas Park is situated on a 20 ha area, exhibiting 86 works by 46 authors. Such a large concentration of monuments and sculptures of ideological content in a single outdoor exposition is a rare and possibly unique phenomenon in the world.

Departure to Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania.

Kaunas – Seaside region - Vente Horn - Klaipeda (30 km of cycling)

Morning Kaunas Walking City Tour. Kaunas is the second major city in Lithuania, known for its beautiful Old Town. The Old Town of Kaunas consists of the most important, ancient city architectural monuments: the 13th century Castle, the Old Town Hall, nicknamed the "White Swan", the Archicathedral Basilica, the Church of St. Francis Xavier and the Jesuit monastery, Perkunas House and Vytautas Church. The green and blooming pedestrian street Laisves Aleja is the main business and leisure area of Kaunas.

Departure to Klaipeda (212 km from Kaunas).

A stop and a cycling trip through Pamarys (Seaside) Region to Vente Horn via fishermen villages. In Vente Horn, you will visit the 19th century lighthouse and the Ornithological Station. This amazing place offers a breathtaking view of the lagoon and shining sand dunes of the Curonian Spit.

Departure to Klaipeda. The third biggest city in Lithuania and an important port. It has a long history since the times when it was fishing village of the ancient Balts and to the later arrival of German Crusaders who built their castle here in the 13th cent. The town was later known as Memel.

Klaipeda - Curonian Spit – Klaipeda (55 km of cycling)

Departure to the Curoninan Spit. The Spit lies between the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea and has the most extensive sand dunes in Europe.  The Curonian Spit National Park is the most protected area in Lithuania. Long chains of North Europe’s highest dunes, the waves of the sea breaking and rustling of sand as well as the smell of fresh fish, and old and quaint Curonian houses create an unforgettable experience for travelers making their way along the split, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. This area is known for its unique landscape, flora and fauna.

Bicycling through the Curonian Spit via an asphalt bike path and forest trails. You will pass by the Dead Dunes beyond Pervalka, visit an extraordinary place with an amazing panoramic view of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. You will be able to observe the busy life of a colony of grey herons and cormorants and will complete your biking day in Juodkrantė. Don’t forget to visit the Hill of Witches there - an open-air museum of woodcarvings.

Transfer back to Klaipeda. Overnight in Klaipėda.

Klaipeda – Seaside Regional Park - Palanga - Hill of Crosses - Riga (25 km of cycling)

Cycling from Klaipėda through Seaside Regional park to Palanga Resort along the Seaside Cycle Route. Here you will explore the Dutchman’s Cap – a 24-meter-high coastal cliff, as well as the fishermen’s village of Karkle and Plaze Lake. You will visit Palanga’s Botanical Park and the Amber Museum, cycle along the main avenue of Palanga Resort - a car-free street dotted with numerous cafes, restaurants and ending in a pier heading 470 meters into the Baltic Sea.

Departure from Palanga to Riga, the capital of Latvia.

Stop at the famous Hill of Crosses. The Hill of Crosses, a unique historic place. It is the best place to get acquainted with cross-making, a type of Lithuanian folk art that was placed on the UNESCO Non-material and Verbal Heritage Masterpiece List. There are more than 20,000 crosses on the hill, put up by individuals as a plea for grace or an expression of gratitude since the ancient times.  It is the only place of its kind in the world, and is included to the Guinness Book of Records because of its uniqueness.

Riga

After the breakfast Riga City Tour by bus and walking tour. Riga has numerous ways of enticing visitors through its rich history, architecture, spacious gardens and parks, museums, art galleries, world-class opera…and daily treats like a walk in the enormous and colorful central market or a visit to a cozy café, club or pub...


The tour includes the most significant landmarks of Riga and begins along its central boulevards. On the walk you will enjoy the view of the City Canal parks, the Art Nouveau buildings of the beginning of the 20th century, and the Opera House. In the Old Riga you will see the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble Three Brothers, St. Jacob's Church, the Parliament House, the Old Riga Castle, and view the many beautifully restored buildings now housing cozy restaurants, cafes, bars and souvenir shops.

Riga – Gauja National Park – Cesis (40 km of cycling)

Departure to Gauja National park  (60 km from Riga), often referred to as the Latvian Switzerland.  Gauja National park includes the valley of the Gauja River which together with its tributaries forms an original landscape. The territory includes more than 500 monuments of archeology, architecture, history dating as far back as 11th century.
Enjoy beautiful vistas of the Gauja River Valley, visit the 13th century Turaida Castle, now housing a small History Museum, and take a relaxing walk in the adjoining Sculpture Park, featuring works of Latvian sculptors.
You will start cycling along the Gauja River valleys, passing by the impressive Gutmana Cave and going further to Ragana with a stop in Krimulda to visit Latvia’s oldest church (built in 1205).


Transfer to Stalbe for the final ride of the day in Cesis, one of Latvia’s oldest and most beautiful Hanseatic towns.

Cesis – Tartu (47 km of cycling)

Morning visit of the medieval Cesis castle, the residence of the master of the Livonian Order. You will see the soaring Gothic tower of the 13th century of Church of St. John.  In Cesis enjoy a stroll through the narrow medieval streets and enjoy the amiable small town ambiance.

Continue bicycling in the Gauja National park taking an asphalt bike path and a forest trail till Smiltene town. On the way you will visit Rauna castle ruins of the 16th century, ancient Rauna Lutheran church (13 cent.), Meni manor and park, Livonian Order castle Kalnamuiza and other natural and historical monuments.

Tartu – Peipsi Lake - Alatskivi castle - Kollaste - Lahemaa National Park (40 km of cycling)

Morning Tartu City Tour. This charming old University City is cozy and small, yet large enough to offer much to the traveler - the glory of once well-known Hansa-town, the ancient Dome Hill, academic atmosphere of the oldest in the Baltic countries University (1632), university buildings and merry student festivals, as well as a rich cultural life of concerts, theatre and exhibitions. The tour includes the University of Tartu, contemporary central part of Tartu built in the end of the 18th century and in the 19th century, as well as the wooden houses of Karlova and Supilinn from the same period, lovely gardens in Tahtvere and Tammelinn and also the ruins of a largest 15th century dome church on the Toome hill.

You will start cycling from town Koosa and will stop in Varnja village located on one of the biggest in Estonia lakes - Lake Peipsi. The route unwinds along the sandy beaches and sandstone rocks of Lake Peipsi and through the village pathways. Visit a magnificent 19th century manor Alatskivi castle and orthodox churches of Russian Old Believers in Estonia. You will finish the day trip in Kallaste, a town with known for its interesting 18th and 19th cent. architecture.

Lahemaa National Park (30 km of cycling)

Transferby bus to  Lahemaa National Park, the biggest Estonian National Park (72,500 ha) and the place of most developed cycling trails in Estonia. Lahemaa attracts tourists with its virgin sandy beaches, waterfalls cascade, mossy pine forests and over 200 species of birds and almost 900 different species of plants. Park offers a variety of cultural sights, such as Palmse manor, the showpiece of Lahemaa. This 18th century baroque house is open to the public and is filled with period-specific furniture. A few kilometers north of Palmse, you will see the old Soviet Coast Guard barracks, which now house an airtime museum with excellent exhibits on the Soviet era and the history of the village. Enjoy a walk in a beautifully preserved 400-year-old fishing hamlet of Altja in the north - western corner of the park.

Lahemaa National Park – Tallinn (40 km of cycling)

The day starts with a biking tour in the Lahemaa National Park, where you will start with the Sagedi Manor and go to the Palmse Manor and then further to the Kasmu Peninsula.

Tallinn - Kadriorg Palace - Tallinn (15 km of cycling)

The original bicycle sightseeing tour "Welcome to Tallinn by bike”. Unlike most European cities, which have old buildings mixed in between the modern ones, Tallinn's Old City is a charming in its unity of style. You leave the bustling modern life behind when you enter into the world of cobblestone streets and dim alleys, sputtering torches and secret stairways. The Old City holds new surprises around every corner, even for its old inhabitants.
The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we will see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Niguliste Church. The Upper Town viewing points offer excellent bird's eye views of the Lower Town.

Visit of Kadriorg (5km from Tallinn) famous for its baroque palace and a park ensemble, built in 1718 as the summer palace for the family of Russian tsar Peter I. The palace is now home to the Kadriorg Art Museum. In addition to viewing the nation's collection of foreign art, visitors will get to see the mind-bogglingly ornate Great Hall, and the room that served as president's office in the 1930s.
